This reel has seen the heydays of largemouth fishing at Jack Wingate's lodge in the 1960s where it was used to catch huge stringers of bass out of the stump-laden waters of Lake Seminole.

I also used it when I went to Canada to pull smallmouths out of the rocky lairs of the backwater ponds.
