Sebile's new Soft Weight Swimbait Rig features a stinger treble, a wider-gap single hook and both fixed and adjustable weights.

Lose a lot of fish on soft swimbaits? You're not alone. Converting one of every three or four bites might be a good percentage for these exciting but maddening baits.

Last year, Sebile introduced a widely popular soft-weight system specifically for its Magic Swimmer and other soft swimbaits. That helped with weighting. Now, Sebile takes its innovative weight system to the next level with the Soft Weight Swimbait Rig that all but guarantees a better hooking percentage in open water.

The Soft Weight Swimbait Rig, to be available soon, is designed to easily change the effective weight, castability, rate of fall and running depth of most any soft-plastic lure. By positioning the weights in different locations on the hook an angler can fine tune the preferred diving angle, falling motion and swimming action on a cast-by-cast basis if needed.

This Swimbait rig has a fixed lead belly weight along with the Soft Weight System, which gives anglers a wide variety of options when choosing the desired weight.

The Swimbait Rig also includes an attached treble stinger hook that rests on the shank of the wide-gap hook. The premium black-nickel single and treble hooks are of the highest standard and are corrosion resistant with a smooth, hard finish that helps maintain sharpness and superior penetration.

Another key: The Swimbait Rig's single hook features a gap that's opened by 15 degrees for an even wider gap.

Swimbait Rigs will be available in three sizes 5/0, 7/0 and 9/0 and will range in price from $9.45 to $10.45 per pack. The 5/0 pack will come with two Swimbait Rigs and 10 tungsten-filled rubber-compound weights. The 7/0 and 9/0 packages will come with one rig and six weights.
